It sounds simple, doesn’t it? It’s love that compels us during the middle of the night to take an emergency placement with children covered with lice and bruises all over their body and heart. It’s love that causes us to help heal these children and see them through their pain, nightmares, and behavioral challenges. It’s love that gives us a belief that our children have a great destiny, purpose, and hope for the future. It’s love that keeps us pressing forward!
We expanded our horse rescue at our Foster River Ranch and recently brought in more horses and a pony who were headed to slaughter. These are sweet babies who just want to be loved and cared for. It’s so sad because they have rotten teeth, infected eyes and cuts, bad feet, etc. We are fundraising to cover our initial costs plus vet, ferrier, grain, hay etc. One of our rescues came pregnant and is due soon. We are excited her baby will have a chance to live and be loved!
Our children often come to us in poor physical and mental condition and we nurse them back to health. We will do so with the horses as well and we love your support. Of course our children come first but we love our horses and other animals too. It’s so incredible to see them together loving and healing each others hearts
When I was a young girl God placed a huge dream in my heart. As the President and Founder of our foster care and adoption agency, emergency shelters, children’s homes/ranches, retreat centers plus animal rescues I can definitely say that that dream has been realized and we are continuing to expand our vision and impact! We have placed over 6000 children and that is amazing! Our largest ranch is 156 acres on the San Marcos river. We are excited to announce that we are just opening two new houses that we built bringing our capacity to 105 children who can live there full-time. It’s also an amazing camp and support for our foster or adopt families and their children in Texas.I can personally attest to the blood, sweat, and tears my family and I, along with our dedicated staff have given. However my motto then and now remains the same,” The children are worth it all!” We invite you to be a part by donating and supporting our worthy mission monthly.
